Parenting style and family empowerment for children's growth and development: a systematic review

Child growth and development is a major public health problem worldwide. About 10.6% of children under five experience delay in development. Achieving the maximum potential influenced by several factors, namely: parental care, environmental support caregivers, family, community, social, economic, political, cultural factors. The success children’s are ranging from family environment to community. To summarize, parenting styles empowerment used Four databases (i.e., PubMed, Science Direct, EBSCO, Springer) were 2015-2022. Articles that meet inclusion exclusion criteria then subjected critical appraisal 25 articles identified this systematic review. Several studies identify dimensions through data analytic approach measure with particular emphasis on parent-centered approaches. Other have shown intervention models can be given emotional support, increased involvement, normalization, empowerment. achieve results appropriate improving ability families, assessing, influencing, managing situations resources children.
